High School To Hygiene Program

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the "High School To Hygiene" Program (Fall, 2024), an innovative initiative that seeks to inspire and guide high school students towards fulfilling careers in dental hygiene. This groundbreaking program is designed to nurture a new generation of oral health professionals by providing educational resources, mentorship, and hands-on experiences to fuel their passion for the field. 

The "High School To Hygiene" Program is unlike any other program; it's a transformative experience designed to ignite a passion for oral health and empower high school students to envision a fulfilling career in dental hygiene. Join us on this exciting journey as we shape the future smiles of our communities.

Program Components:

  1. Interactive Workshops and Seminars:

The program kicks off with engaging workshops and seminars hosted by experienced dental hygienists and oral health experts. These sessions will introduce students to the dynamic world of dental hygiene, covering topics such as preventive care, dental technology, and the diverse career paths within the field.

  1. Hands on Clinical Experiences:

To provide a glimpse into the day-to-day activities of dental hygienists, students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on clinical experiences. These may include simulated dental procedures, oral health screenings, and interactive sessions using dental hygiene equipment.

  1. Career Exploration Tours:

The initiative encourages students to actively engage in community outreach projects focused on promoting oral health awareness. Through these projects, students will develop leadership skills and a sense of social responsibility while making a positive impact on the communities they serve.

  1. College and Career Counseling:

The program includes personalized college and career counseling sessions to assist students in navigating the academic requirements, application processes, and potential scholarship opportunities related to pursuing a degree in dental hygiene.

  1. Community Outreach Projects:

The initiative encourages students to actively engage in community outreach projects focused on promoting oral health awareness. Through these projects, students will develop leadership skills and a sense of social responsibility while making a positive impact on the communities they serve. Participants of the program will serve as ambassadors for the All Smiles Matters, SmileFest as well as partner events. 

  1. Educational Resources and Materials:

The program offers access to comprehensive educational resources, including online Dental Assistant Training. This training will not only supplement the students' knowledge but also serve as a valuable first step in becoming an oral care professional, as they position themselves to become dental hygienists.

  1. Mentorship Program

To guide and inspire students on their journey, the "High School To Hygiene" Program provides a mentorship program connecting high school participants with experienced dental hygienists. Mentors will offer insights, advice, and encouragement, fostering a supportive relationship that extends beyond the duration of the program.

  1. Annual High School To Hygiene Summit

The initiative culminates in an annual summit that brings together students, mentors, and dental professionals. This event provides a platform for networking, sharing success stories, and celebrating the achievements of participants in the "High School To Hygiene" Program.

Smile Bright Scholarship 

We are delighted to present the "Smile Bright Scholarship," a remarkable opportunity for aspiring high school students to embark on a fulfilling career in dental hygiene. This full tuition scholarship has been thoughtfully crafted to support and empower students in underserved communities pursuing a degree in dental hygiene, fostering a commitment to excellence in oral health and patient care. Our goal is to award 30 outstanding graduates with full tuition scholarships by the year 2030.
