Strengthen the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease during pregnancy to eliminate untreated dental caries that lead to vertical transmission of cariogenic bacteria in young children.
GOAL # 2 Support Universal Access To Care, And Education
By 2030, expand access and provide preventative treatment to underserved populations, including education, and the integration of oral health into global strategies and programs.

GOAL # 3 Reduce Mortality From Depression In Minority Communities And Promote Mental Health
By 2030, substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from mental health conditions in minorities through prevention and promote health and well-being.

Goal #4 Increase Financing, Support And Advocacy For Dental Professionals
Substantially increase education, financing and the recruitment, development, training, and retention of the oral care workforce.

GOAL # 5 Achieve Economic Stability
Establish and promote pathways to dental hygiene careers and remove economic barriers to joining the dental hygiene workforce.

Support the research and development of the link between mental health and overall health that primarily affects the African American community.
